We proudly offer private instruction (30 or 60 minute lessons) in voice, piano, guitar, bass, drums, violin, cello, viola and acting to both children (K-12) and adults, in a vibrant school in the heart of downtown Lorain. The performance-based lessons aim toward our annual recital at the beautiful Lorain Palace Theater. Lesson goals include music/theater understanding and achievement, improved self-esteem, confidence building and joy through the arts.

Jaclyn Bradley, founder of Rock Town, is thrilled to have built a music academy in her hometown.  With a master’s degree in music, the international singer/songwriter has been a contestant on The Voice of Holland and Ireland’s Got Talent.  She and her music have been featured on VH1, MTV, HGTV, Bravo and TLC.  Jaclyn created Rock Town with the aim of offering high-quality, performance-based lessons that build tremendous skill and confidence.  Her students become multifaceted, technically sound vocalists who receive immense joy from sharing their song.  Jaclyn is also a board-certified music therapist who led the largest study in history to bring live music into the operating room. 

Dougie Manross

Dougie Manross is a guitar player / audio engineer / producer based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

A protégé of local legend, Billy Morris, Dougie made his on-stage debut with Morris at age 12.  Since then, Dougie has made quite a name for himself in the Northeast Ohio music scene.

Dougie’s teaching style focuses on giving students the essential building blocks of guitar playing by intertwining basic techniques that apply to the student’s own musical tastes.

Dougie currently plays guitar for country rock band Bronx Country, but he also performs on occasion with Billy Morris’ “Sunset Strip,” among many other popular local area bands and artists. Aside from playing guitar, Dougie also manages Audio Bay Studios, a pro recording and live streaming studio in Bay Village.

Grady wessollek

Grady Wessollek drum instructor

Grady is a local Cleveland drummer who has been playing drums since the age of 9. He is a Cleveland State alum who studied under Bill Ransom at the school of music.

Aside from being the full time drummer for The Brakes, Grady has also joined Gavin Coe and the Tremonts, Black and Coe, and is currently the touring drummer for Cleveland metal legends, Ringworm. When not gigging with his main projects or touring, he also done various studio and live sessions for local artists such as The Bad Boys of Blues, E.T. King, Leanne Binder, and countless other amazing musicians!

Grady’s main philosophy with drums is to not only be a great drummer, but a great musician and to be as versatile as possible. The philosophy behind the lessons is exactly the same…. lessons will focus on teaching rhythm concepts, and then applying those same concepts to solos, grooves, songs and incorporating all this into a live setting as well.

Music lessons don’t have to be boring! Jacob completed his undergraduate studies at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida.   

Mr. Jacob loves to share his passion of making music with students.  He has played piano since he was twelve years old.

Mr. Jacob currently is a violist in the Firelands Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of Symphony West in Berea, Ohio. He has played in the Akron Symphony Orchestra, Ashland Symphony Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, TrueNorth Chamber Orchestra, Blue Lake Fine Arts Festival Orchestra, Varna International Festival Orchestra, Venice Symphony Orchestra, and the North Port Symphony Orchestra. 

Jacob has taught piano for over a decade. Combining technical and music-reading fundamentals, with playing to their favorite songs, Jacob’s students become well-rounded artists who not only learn a lasting skill but also cultivate a lifelong enjoyment and passion for music.

Zeke enjoys having the opportunity to share knowledge with his students, from both the classroom and the stage.

Zeke studied music performance at Cleveland State University.  He has played guitar for over 12 years and currently frequents the Cleveland music scene, playing with The Brakes, Gavin Coe and the Tremont’s, and Hannah Sowry.

Gabrielle Dobbins voice instructor

Gabrielle Dobbins is a performer and full time music major, where she is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in music therapy.

Gabrielle has studied and performed popular, classical, choral, and music theater repertoire for many years. She has even sung at Carnegie Hall In New York City!

An energetic, spirited soprano, Gabrielle is involved with the Patricia Lindley Center in Wellington where she performs regularly. 

Lessons with Gabrielle include learning technique through student-preferred songs and building of confidence and stage presence through biannual recitals. Gabrielle is excited to be an instructor at Rock Town where she works with students to not only cultivate their unique talents, but also to inspire a lifetime of joy through music.

Dylan Andras guitar

Dylan has been playing guitar for a decade, collaborating in several bands and projects, playing everything from country to funk to metal. Dylan’s favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, Sly & the Family Stone, & Metallica.

He is incredibly passionate about music and loves to find new ways to express ideas through it.

Dylan also plays drums and enjoys recording & producing music! He is excited to be sharing his talents with the students of Rock Town!

JENNIFER LUDWIG
ACTING/COACHING

For the last 24 years, Jennifer Ludwig has had the privilege of directing children’s, community and high school theatre while teaching acting, musical theatre, characterization, and other arts workshops to all ages.

As the Director of “Troupe 1422” at Marion L Steele High School, a former member of the Board of Directors for Sandstone Summer Theatre, and an SST Director of Community and Children’s Productions, Jennifer’s greatest joys are mentoring and encouraging students in their passions, assisting them in finding and fine tuning the gifts they possess and empowering them with the confidence to share their knowledge, experience and love for theatre arts.

As a member of the Ohio Educational Theatre Association Board of Directors as an All-Ohio Co-Coordinator, North Area Representative also working on the Thespian State Awards and Scholarships, she is thrilled to engage, educate, serve and recognize the students of the Ohio Theatre Arts Community. Jenn holds a BA degree in Theater and English. Her students have been accepted to the finest university theater programs and have found great success on stage and in film.

Jared koepp

Jared has been performing and teaching music in the Cleveland area for over 15 years.

Specializing in vocals, Jared is comfortable helping students of all skill levels to achieve a better understanding of music and find their voice.

Jared has taught, performed and excelled at nearly every genre of music, having experience on all types of stages. There is no better feeling than the rush one gets when entertaining an audience, and Jared is excited to share this, and his talents, with the students of Rock Town.

Bonnie Dietlin Bowerman

Bonnie has been teaching violin for over 40 years.  She is a retired Orchestra Directer from the Elyria Public Schools.  Her students have been accepted with scholarships to esteemed conservatory programs and went on to perform professionally.  During her high school years she studied with a professor at Oberlin Conservatory who was a protegé of Ivan Galamian, a renowned professor at Juilliard (Itzak Perlman’s prof).

Bonnie is a graduate of Bowling Green State University having studied with their principal violinist in the falculty quartet in residence.  She has performed throughout the years in various seasonal and community orchestras as well as quartets.  Bonnie is a nurturing, supportive teacher who guides her students to not only play beautifully, but also cultivate a love for music and have fun doing so.

Dee Lovett 
voice/guitar/piano

Hailing from New York, Dee has been playing the piano, guitar, violin, harmonica, cello and bass for nearly 30 years. In addition, she has been a lead vocalist in bands, performs regularly, has been heavily involved in community theatre, and was a vocalist in a Billy Joel tribute band.

Dee also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and teaches guitar at the Avon Lake Library. She is passionate about her students and has a way of seeing their potential and matching them with material that showcases their individual talents. 

Piano/violin

Kate grew up in a musical family, playing piano, violin, guitar, and singing from a young age. In 2009, Kate graduated magna cum laude from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Music Education, where she studied violin with Vasile Beluska on music and academic scholarship.     

Since then, Kate has become involved in the music therapy community through post-baccalaureate course work at Baldwin Wallace University and was a founding member of the board of directors for In Harmony Therapeutic Services, a non-profit music therapy organization which she currently serves as board president

Kate has been teaching violin and piano lessons on and off for 20 years. She is an active violinist, playing in many community orchestras and professional gigs in the area. Kate’s passion is for meeting her students where they are and helping them cultivate a lifelong love of music-making. Kathryn lives in Elyria with her husband, Aaron, and their four children.

Jordan is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in Sheffield Lake, Ohio. Son of musicians, Jordan spent most of his childhood in Oberlin, Ohio.

After starting on piano, Jordan began taking cello lessons at an early age and rapidly fell in love with the instrument; playing in the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra and even attending Interlochen for a few summers. However, his interests shifted to electric bass in high school.

After high school Jordan moved to Boston and earned degrees in Electric Bass Performance and Electronic Production and Design from Berklee College of Music.

After graduation, Jordan worked for a decade as a recording and gigging musician across all genres in the New England Area before heading back to Ohio, all while adding songwriting, vocals, and guitar to his arsenal. Jordan now lives in Sheffield Lake with his wife Brittney, their children Faye, Mia, and Milo, and his parents close by.

Recently, Jordan has performed with the LCCC Civic Orchestra, Symphony West, True North Cultural Arts, and various other groups in the Northeast-Ohio area, and is excited and energized to see where his musical journey takes him next.

Sabrina has been playing the piano for 19 years and specializes in classical piano music, yet works with students interested in all genres. She holds a minor in piano performance from Seton Hill University.

Sabrina believes in a comprehensive teaching approach that adapts the need of the individual student to support their learning. Her curriculum includes learning classical techniques, studying music theory, and performing classical/modern popular pieces, ensuring that students develop their technical skills while enjoying the fun and beauty of music. 

In addition to teaching piano, Sabrina is also a medical professional at the Cleveland Clinic.
